Dev Update: May 2018
Pocket City is getting closer to release!
Firstly, a shout out to all alpha testers and followers! It's been a huge help to have the support from all followers on Reddit, Twitter, and Facebook.
Many have been wondering how close the game is to being finished. I'd say it's about 80% done, and I'm now targeting a June/July release. Here's a much needed update!
What's already completed
- Zoning (Residential, Commercial, Industrial)
- Resources (Water, Power, Goods)
- Recreation
- Traffic system
- Pollution system
- Crime Safety
- Fire Safety
- Sandbox mode (everything unlocked + instant build)
- Quest system (level up and unlock new buildings)
- Discoverable treasure
- Name your city
- Land expansions
- Commercial Economy
- Import / Export Economy
- Disasters
- Most Special Events
- Horizontal/Vertical modes (play one handed!)
- Upload/Download shared cities

- Upgrade zone density

I hope to be able to hit the June/July target for release. Players have expressed that they are eager to play the game, but would prefer a game that is as delayed but good instead of a rushed product :)
